Laurence H. Woodward
Laurence H. Woodward is senior counsel to the Buffalo, New York law firm of Magavern Magavern Grimm LLP. He specializes in estate planning, probate law, estate and trust taxation and administration, and elder law.
Mr. Woodward is well versed in Elder Law, including lifetime conservation and management of assets, health care proxies and living wills, Medicare, Medicaid and long-term care issues. Mr. Woodward has lectured frequently on various estate and trust planning topics for professional and community organizations.
He is admitted to practice in all New York State Courts.
Professional & Community Associations
Mr. Woodward is a member of the Estate Analysts of Western New York, the New York State Bar Association (Trusts and Estates Law Section), and the Bar Association of Erie County, for which he served four years as Chairman of its Surrogate’s Court Practice Committee.
He is a Director of Niagara Lutheran Health System, Chair of the Board of Directors of its affiliate, Lutheran Church Home of Buffalo, Inc. and a member of its Long Range Planning Committee. He serves as counsel to St. John’s Lutheran Home for Children.
Mr. Woodward is a graduate of Gettysburg College and Syracuse University’s College of Law.
