Sarah L. Rugnetta
Sarah L. Rugnetta is special counsel to the Buffalo, New York law firm
of Magavern Magavern Grimm, LLP concentrating her practice in health law,
elder law and administrative law.
Ms. Rugnetta served for two years as a court attorney at the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Fourth Judicial Department. She also held a one-year appointment as a law clerk with a trial court in Vermont.
Ms. Rugnetta has public health experience, working directly on policy, program and regulatory initiatives. She was Assistant General Counsel and Director of Health Rates and Forms for the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation. While living in India Ms. Rugnetta worked at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), where she worked on gender, quality improvement, HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis initiatives. She also worked at the P2 Collaborative of Western New York, Inc., overseeing various hospital and ambulatory quality improvement initiatives.
Ms. Rugnetta is admitted to practice law in New York State.

Ms. Rugnetta received her B.A., cum laude, in English Literature and
Political Science from St. Lawrence University. She received her juris doctor,
cum laude, from University at Buffalo Law School.
