Sarah L. Rugnetta
Sarah L. Rugnetta is counsel to the Buffalo, New York law firm of Magavern, Magavern Grimm LLP, concentrating her practice in health law, elder law and administrative law.
Ms. Rugnetta served for two years as legal assistant to the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Fourth Judicial Department. She also held a one-year appointment as a law clerk with a trial court in Vermont. Prior to returning to Buffalo, she was Assistant General Counsel for the Health Care Division of the Vermont Department of Banking, Insurance, Securities and Health Care Administration.
She previously worked at the P2 Collaborative of Western New York, Inc., overseeing various hospital and ambulatory quality improvement initiatives.
Ms. Rugnetta is admitted to practice law in New York State and Vermont.
Professional & Community Associations
She is a member of the Health Law Section of New York State Bar Association. She previously served on the Board of the Vermont Association of Business, Industry and Rehabilitation, a not-for-profit agency committed to expanding employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Ms. Rugnetta is also an Adjunct Professor, teaching Law and Policy for students in the Health Policy and Health Education Doctorate Program at D'Youville College.
Ms. Rugnetta received her B.A., cum laude, in English Literature and Political Science from St. Lawrence University. She received her juris doctor, cum laude, from University at Buffalo Law School.
